Well-known and highly-respected safety expert, John Simms, Vice President of HNI Truck Group, one of the nation’s leading truck insurance brokers, will moderate a diverse panel that will address technology in the trucking industry. Steve Bryan, President of Vigillo, a Samba Safety company, will be one of the esteemed panelists, as will Tom Cuthbertson, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Omnitracs and Tim Hindes, CEO of Stay Metrics. David Heller, VP of Governmental Affairs at TCA will bring his dynamic style of presentation to bring us up-to-the-minute regarding events in the world of compliance, enforcement, and legislation. Sarah Arteaga, Regional Economic Information Network Director and coordinator of the Trade and Transportation Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta will share her insights to help us make sense out of some of the economic issues that will play an important role in how successful we’ll be in 2018 and beyond. Come hear Salem Elnahwy, Chief Technology Officer of Pegasus Transtech tell us all about blockchain and how it may affect the trucking industry.

2018 Safety & Security Meeting
August 1, 2 & 3, 2018 The Abbey Resort & Spa on Geneva Lake – Fontana, WI
This meeting drills in on those issues regarding safety and compliance that are vital to the success of all motor carriers. In addition to our annual Fleet Safety Award presentations, we’ll offer excellent speaker presentations focusing on critical aspects of safe commercial fleet operation.
Hear Jerad Childress from the Scopelitis Law Firm fill us in on the latest regulatory & enforcement activities, FMCSA audit protocols & preparation, load securement, litigation issues, and More! Hear C-TPAT expert, Gene Garza, explain how a carrier gets C-TPAT certified and then what’s needed to stay that way! David Medeiros, of Scopelitis Transportation Consulting, will explain what your company can do to prevent an active shooter situation and how to prepare to deal with one if the unthinkable happens at your company. And that’s not all! We’ve got more in the works!

2018 Regulatory, Economic & Political Symposium

Our final meeting of the year is always one of our best. On December 5 & 6 we’ll be at warm and comfortable, even though winter will be back by then, Jumer’s Casino and Hotel in Rock Island, IL for our winter meeting.
This meeting will focus on a number of areas that affect our businesses from economics, to politics, to governmental affairs, regulation, compliance, and equipment giving us the opportunity to summarize the important events of 2018 and to look ahead to what to expect in 2019!
