November 2008 The MHA Announces Sammons Trucking as a Member The Machinery Haulers Association announced its newest member, Sammons Trucking, shortly before the new year. Sammons started in 1962 hauling lumber and exempt commodities between the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest. Over the years Sammons added to its commodity and territorial base until the industry was deregulated in the early 1980s. At that time, Sammons became a nation-wide carrier of general commodities specializing in flatbed freight. Historically Sammons had been strictly an Owner Operator company (including small privately owned fleets) but in 1984 started adding a few company trucks to its fleet. Sammons, still basically an Owner Operator Company, supplemented its fleet of top quality Owner Operators with a small fleet of late model, state of the art tractors. Sammons have expanded our trailer capacity to include steps, double drops and RGNs, in addition to our base of flatbeds. In 1976 the company was purchased
from the founder by a small group of individuals, which included the management
team and one of the Owner Operators. In 2005, Sammons Trucking was purchased by
Market Industries of Portland, OR. To further complement Market Industries, UTi
Worldwide of Rancho Dominguez, CA purchased Market Industries in 2006 ensuring
the stability that has been our cornerstone throughout the years. June 2008 The MHA Welcomes Ace Doran Hauling &

The Machinery Haulers Association (MHA) is proud to announce Ace Doran as
it's newest member. As always, the MHA is looking to expand membership
